Acts Chapter 3: "Witness to and in the Power of His name."
Believers were still closely attached to the Jewish Temple and to the Jewish traditional hours of prayer. Acts chapters 1 to 10 describes a gradual transition from being mostly Jewish in make up, to becoming more Gentile. The context of Act 3 is, the church was still “JEWISH CHRISTIANITY,” and a witness that had a Jewish foundation and tradition to build on.
Notice the movement and action in Acts chapter 3. Still praying and praising God in the Temple, Peter and John SHARED what they HAD! Is this not the true definition of EVANGELISM? Sharing what you have….namely sharing Jesus and what he has done in your life.

We hold to our Southern Baptist Convention’s Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We are unique in that we are an expository preaching church. That is, we explain the Scriptures verse by verse in order to understand its meaning, to explain what is difficult to understand, and to properly show how it applies to one’s life. (Nehemiah 8:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
